Beyond Gun Violence Assumptions

The myth that mentally ill people are inherently violent is harmful stigma - the data shows most gun deaths are actually self-directed violence (suicide).

And because federal funding for research on this public health crisis has been restricted for decades, we've been left in the dark about what inherently drives gun violence and how to prevent it through evidence-based solutions.

By prioritizing this issue as a public health crisis through funding a scientific study, we can better understand how to save lives.
